We invite you to visit the Museum of Political history of Russia, located in the historic center of the city. Tour "Matilda Kschessinskaya" is dedicated to one of the greatest ballerinas of the Russian Empire. Matilda Kschessinskaya - prima ballerina of the Imperial theaters - was the mistress of the mansion on Kronverksky Avenue, which was in the thick of the revolutionary events of 1917. The revolution forced Kschessinska to leave not only her home but also her country. What was the fate of the mansion? What was the fate of its owner? Things, archival documents, photos tell about it, among them there are a lot of materials shown to the public for the first time. On the tour we will remember the young Malecka, turn the head to the future Emperor Nicholas II, "little K." easy to do 32 fouettés, good Matilda, "Madame 17", addicted to game of roulette, and finally the Princess Romanovsky-Krasinsky, faithful spouse and careful mother. And it's all her – Matilda Feliksovna Kshesinskaya, who was granted a rare longevity (1872-1971).
