Let’s start exploring St. Petersburg with its history! You’ll be welcomed by palaces, monuments and majestic squares of our city. Take a walk through the central streets and parks to feel the spirit of the Northern capital of Russia. As part of our tour you will visit The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. The nine-domed сhurch was built in the Russian style in memory of one of the most beloved by the Russian people Emperor – Alexander II, on this place on March 1, 1881 he was fatally wounded by a terrorist. From our professional guide you will know about how the church was built with funds collected from all over Russia, as well as other facts about the history of this great architectural monument. Also you will explore the majestic St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the largest Orthodox Church in the city, and its interior, which presents all kinds of monumental and decorative art-painting, sculpture, mosaic, colored facing stone. And of course we will visit the most famous Museum in St. Petersburg, The State Hermitage Museum, the main exposition of which is located in the Winter Palace. During this tour you will visit the main halls of the Museum, admire the paintings of great artists, such as Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, as well as you will see the rich interior decoration and the largest exhibition of the Palace.

Itinerary

10:00 Meeting with your guide at the hotel;

10:15-10:45 Arrival at Saint Isaac’s Square, an excursion in St. Isaac’s Cathedral, The Bronze Horseman and Senate Square;

11:00 Kazan Cathedral, Nevsky Prospect, The Winter Palace;

11:30-12:00 Visiting The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood with an excursion;

12:15-14:15 Excursion in The State Hermitage Museum;

14:30 Spit of Vasilyevsky island, view on The Peter and Paul Fortress;

15:00 Departure to the hotel.

In case of booking a guide with another language, additional payment is 2000rub per hour
